National Monument Donor Recognition Ceremonies

Celebrate the latest inscriptions on the Australian National Monument to Migration

About the donor recognition ceremony

The National Monument stands in honour of families who have migrated to Australia with registered names engraved in bronze. Currently there are over 30,000 names on the Wall with representation from over 200 countries.

The museum generally holds a donor recognition ceremony once a year to recognise donors and celebrate the addition to the National Monument.

New registrants, their families and friends are invited to this celebration of their life-changing journeys to Australia.

The ceremony provides guests with the opportunity to view the panel for the first time in what is always a moving and festive ceremony. The event sees different family generations gather together to reflect on and celebrate their cultural heritage.
