The Maritime Museum welcomes 2-5-year-olds and their parents/carers!

    Every month, Mini Mariners welcomes 2-5 year-olds and their parents/carers. Explore the galleries, sing and dance in interactive tours with costumed guides. Enjoy creative free play, craft, games, dress-ups and story time in our themed activity area.

    June - Aquanaut Adventurers

    Dive, dive, dive into an imaginary underwater adventure.

    Enjoy touch tours with creature specimens, movement, songs, games, craft and free play in our themed activity space.  Make your own animal puppet or hat to take home.

    Date: Tuesdays 5, 12, 19, 26, Saturday 16 June

    August - Pirates Ahoy

    Let's follow the treasure map around the museum to find the secret treasure cave. Learn how to sing, dance and scrub the deck like a pirate. Then you can decorate your own pirate hat or parrot puppet to take home and enjoy some special pirate science experiments.

    Date: Tuesdays 7, 14, 21, 28, Saturday 18 August

    July - Sail Around the World

    Mini Mariners Sail around the world

    Pack your bags for an imaginative journey, off and away over-seas.

    Explore different cultures and places from across the seas. Sing songs, dance and enjoy story time. Then you can create your own collaged creatures or print a calico book bag to take home.

    Date: Tuesdays 3, 24, 31 and Saturday 7 July

    General Information

    Please meet at the foyer 5–10 minutes before the program and collect your sticker from the front desk. If you arrive early or want to stay longer, you can explore our galleries and our Mini Mariners Play space or grab a coffee from the Kiosk or Yots cafe.

    Prices: $10 per child, adults $8. FREE for Members.

    • Flexibility to choose when you return to subsequent sessions- drop in any week!

    • Class pack sessions are valid to the end of November 2018.
    Simply select the date of your first visit and bring your e-ticket with you to check in to any subsequent sessions as suits your schedule (Mini Mariners runs Tuesdays during school term time and one Saturday per month, themes change monthly).
