Join us as we celebrate the opening month of Wildlife Photographer of the Year, as well as world oceans day, with fun activities for the whole family.
11am – 3pm – Kids on Deck- Go Wild
Art making games and dress ups inspired by Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
Make a crazy creature mask, a cardboard camera, a woven sea turtle, or print your own calico tote bag to keep. Dress up in sea creature costumes and play with interactive games.
11am – 3.30 pm- Face painting and glitter tattoos
Have your favourite sea creature painted on
11.30am and 2pm – Creature Feature Science Show
Enjoy a lively and interactive presentation on the science of motion, flight and animal adaptations.
12 pm – 2.30pm – Special Guests: Taronga Zoomobile!
Join guest presenters from the Taronga Zoomobile as they share some special Australian wildlife with us!
Meet, learn about and interact with adorable native animals.
11am – 2pm - Wear your Wild Onesies- Dress Up Competition
Come dressed as your favourite animal and enter the competition on the day for your chance to win a wild prize pack from the museum store!
10.30am – 11.30am and 2.30pm – 3.30pm- Inflatable creatures Photo Opportunity
Have your photo taken with our inflatable turtle character and special guests.
11am, 12pm and 1pm – Jungle Drums- Music and story workshops
Take a journey into the rhythms of wildlife and the natural world with interactive story and music workshops.
11am – 3pm –Squish, Slop and Swirl- Sensory Play
Especially for little ones, enjoy experiments and sensory play inspired by oceans and marine creatures.
