A voyaging program for adventurer seekers to experience sailing a historical tall ship and participate in Australia’s largest wooden boat show.

2019 sees HMB Endeavour sail to Tasmania to take part in the “Parade of Sail’ at the Australian Classic Wooden Boat Festival Wooden Boat Festival in Hobart. 

As part of the voyage you will visit the notorious convict site of Port Arthur.

Sydney to Hobart - 28 January to 8 February

Sydney to Hobart - HMB Endeavour is voyaging to Tasmania in 2019 to attend the Australian Classic Wooden Boat Festival in Hobart with the arrival marked by taking part in the Parade of Sail. The festival is a four day celebration of maritime culture which is the biggest maritime event of its kind in the southern hemisphere.  The Festival brings together over 500 boats in Hobart's iconic historic waterfront.

Voyage crew and Supernumeraries will join on Day 1 of the program for basic ship safety training and an introduction to the fundamentals of square rig sailing. The ship will remain at anchor in Sydney Harbour that night, sailing the next morning for Hobart.

Options: 

  • Voyage Crew  - 11 day voyage charged $ 270 per day Total Cost $2970
    As a voyage crew member you will sleep in hammocks and stand watch, set and take in sail, helm the ship and help keep her clean. Voyage crew must be able to climb aloft (39 metres in a harness).
  • Supernumerary - 11 day voyage charged $500 per day Total Cost $5500
    Supernumerary berths are ideal for those who prefer not to do the sailing activities or who do not meet all the physical requirements for going aloft. You may choose your level of involvement, but will be encouraged to help crew the ship where possible. You will occupy single cabins and relax in the Great Cabin, just as Cook himself would have done.

Hobart to Sydney - 13 to 24 February

Hobart to Sydney – Come along and soak up the atmosphere of the Australian Wooden Boat Festival then join the adventure starting with basic ship safety training and an introduction to the fundamentals of square rig sailing. Then set sail for Sydney, passing Australia’s south eastern spectacular coasted line and visiting Eden on the voyage.
