    Go on An Arctic Adventure This Summer

    Kids have a fun new world to discover this summer - the Arctic. Inspired by Arctic Voicesthere's a huge range of frost-tinged things to do for kids of all ages. Once you've seen Arctic Voices, come on an Arctic Adventure through the rest of the museum.

    Join us for hands-on fun these school holidays: 

    A Big Ticket gives you unlimited access to everything open at the museum on the day of your visit: all exhibitions, vessels and programs.

    Adults $32, Child (under 4), FREE, Child (aged 4–15) $20, Concession $20, Family $79, Members FREE.

    All School Holiday programs run 28 December 2017 - 28 January 2018.

    2. Sail The Seven Seas

    3. Kids on Deck

    10am-4pm Daily During School Holidays 

    A fun-filled activity space with arts and craft, games, and dress ups. Craft your own snowglobes.

    4. 3D Cinema

    Wonders of the Arctic in 3D

    Daily: 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 4pm (check availability, sessions book out) 

    Choose from Wonders of the Arctic, Great White Shark and Aircraft Carrier: Guardians of the Sea.

    5. Touch the Cabinet of Curiosities

    Daily 11am and 2pm, Sundays 11am and 2pm during term

    Touch and discover curious creature specimens and artefacts related to the Arctic and Antarctic.

    6. Live Theatre: Arctic Adventures

    See Arctic Adventures Live Kids Theatre

    Daily 11.30am & 2pm, except Fridays.  Runs 3-25 January
    Join the quest to help one wily polar bear bring back winter.

    Kids are covered at Yots Cafe or the Kiosk.

    Babies Welcome: Enjoy a Stroller Tour

  • Vacation Care Programs

    Vacation Care Programs

    The museum offers great value vacation care programs. Vacation care groups can enjoy organised activities every school holidays. Stay all day or come for a few hours.


    Programs can include:
    • Exhibitions
    • Kids on Deck activities where children (5–12) can get creative with art-making activities, craft, dress-ups, science activities and interactive games. The program changes every term.
    • Entry to the destroyer HMAS Vampire, the submarine HMAS Onslow and HMB Endeavour.
    • Entry to performance programs such as storytelling and circus, Cabinet of Curiosities and more.
    • Free entry for 2 adults per 10 children
    • Free bus parking
    • Cost: $10 per child (for groups of 10 children or more)
    • $4 extra/child for 1874 tall ship James Craig.
