    Photo Pro BootCamp - Two Day Photography Workshop

    Presented in partnership with Spitting Image Photography

    Take your photography skills to the professional level in a two day intensive course.  Master the manual modes on a digital SLR camera, and pick up the tricks and tips that make a great photo editor! Be inspired by the museum's ships and scenic surrounds on outdoor photo shoots, and then master the art of shooting dark indoor spaces, moving subjects, tiny macro photography and more. Your finished work will then be put on display - in a special exhibition at the museum.

    Suitable to all levels of experience. For ages 8–14.

    Monster Mash Movies - Two Day Filmmaking Workshop

    Learn to create your own movie, inspired by our Voyage to the Deep exhibition, and the great stories of cinema. Learn the skills you need to make 'in camera' special effects, the rare art of 'stop-motion' - and then have your work featured on our official YouTube channel.

    Suitable to all levels of experience. For ages 8–14.

    General information

    • Arrive in the museum foyer for registration 5–10 minutes prior to the program.
    • Parents/carers will be required to sign permission forms on the day.
    • Participants are fully supervised for this program.
    • Participants should bring their own lunch/snacks.
    • All equipment for the workshop is provided.
    • Wear suitable clothing, sturdy shoes and sun protection for outdoors
