A unique opportunity to join Dr Jay Ludowyke presentation on Carpathia - The extraordinary story of the ship that rescued the survivors of The Titanic.

  • Carpathia

Join us for a special presentation from Dr Jay Ludowyke on her new book, Carpathia. Carpathia tells the dramatic and fascinating story of RMS CARPATHIA: rescue ship to RMS TITANIC; sunk by a German U-boat in WWI; and lost in ocean depths until located by an intrepid dive team nearly 100 years later. July 2018 is also the centenary of the sinking of Carpathia during World War I.
Rich in history and drama, the true story of Carpathia from her launching to the sensational events of 1912, World War I and beyond is a compelling narrative that moves at the page-turning pace of the very best fiction. Dr Jay Ludowyke is an exciting young author from the Sunshine Coast, who has published works in literary and academic journals and has considerable public speaking experience. She is also the recipient of an Australian Postgraduate Award, a federally funded scholarship given in recognition of the significance of her research on Carpathia and Titanic.
