The museum has delved deep into its collection and bought to the surface a range of fun, quirky and utilitarian whale-related artefacts. On display are fascinating curiosities such as a glove stretcher, a pie crimper and dolls made from whalebone. Tools, games and everyday items such as a toothbrush show the widespread use of whale products in the past.

Explore the amazing world of cetaceans- whales, porpoises and dolphins in Kids On Deck.

Create your own cetacean puppet or mobile, craft a whale soft sculpture or your own whale song instrument. Investigate cetaceans in scientific games and dress up in sea creature costumes.

Learn to remix, reverb and record your own whale -songs in a fun filled workshop on digital music making inspired by our Amazing Whales exhibition. Learn professional music editing and compositing techniques.
